Children get their first lesson in classification and realize that many things can share the same characteristics. This description may be from another edition of this product.
These books are a great start for 18 months and over, especially for those who are just so active you can't even ask them to sit still for a short storytime. They get not just stories, but help build vocabularies and developmental skills as well. "Tell Me What", "Tell Me Which", and "Tell Me Where" are lift the flap books, while the rest are pull the tabs. I believe the latter books are more appropriate for kids 2 years and over since there are more options to think about. But my son at 18months, just love the whole series. He'd always bring this book with him and is so busy looking at the pictures and lifting the flaps and pulling the tabs. After which you'd see a giggle in his face....a signal that he enjoys what he's seen. My son is fond of lift the flap books. Any book that keeps his little finger busy is interesting for him. No matter what he's doing, he'd stop just to see these books. We bring it along when we're on a long drive coz it keeps him entertained for hours and forget about fuzzing and whining taking off his carseat-belts. Also, the tabs and flaps are so sturdy. It's made of very hard cardboard that it takes a lot of pulling and lifting before it wears off.
