Good book, but......

I found the book to be very helpful, but I didn't like the complier, included with book. I ended up having to buy a better one.

Nice approach to C++; but you'll also need a good primer.

This is a very nice approach to learning C++ but you'll also need a good primer on the language to really understand the basics of C++.

Extrmely functional in its simplicity

The book it's really great. This book does a great job for those of you who "really" want to learn. The auhtor's approach is completely hands-on, which makes the learning process much faster, easier and effective than the conventional rhetoric methods. Athough, it is intended to begginers, experts can use it as well, I'm using this book to make the transition from structural C, to an OO viewpoit with C++. It's really a great book.

Awesome Book!

It's really good.. It was rated 5 Stars.. but I haven't read it..

A MUST for those non-traditionalist learners out there!

This is an awsome book on C++. From the very beginning no assumptions are made on the reader's knowledge or capabilities. You are made to feel that you can accomplish learning C++ easily and with confidence. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn C++ and Object Oriented Programming! The reading is light and keeps your attention. I have read and own many books on teaching yourself C and none of those grabbed my attention the way this book has on C++. I do not feel like I need to buy another book on C++. Keep up the great work Jesse!
