Great book to teach kids about different genres

This book is excellent for teaching kids about different genres. It has a bunch of different kinds of stories, and each one is absorbing, but succinct. It is nice to be able to read an example aloud to a class in just a day or two, so they really get a feeling for what is special about the genre. I highly recommend it for reading or writing teachers of late elementary and up.

This book is mainly a collecton of stories pulling you into different genres of books. My faborite sory was the horror story, "The Wall." All the other stories are nice too. I love this book. Sandy Asher did a good job collecting the short stories for use. I also enjoyed seeing famous authors. Perfect for bedtime stories for kids and adults alike.
