sucked in again

I love her books! They are light, enjoyable reads. This one was just as awesome as the first. Sarah Strohmeyer has created a wonderful character in Bubbles. She is hysterical, and you come to love her.

I **LOVED** this book....

Bubbles is truly a "unique" character. She's a hairstylist/part time journalist who can't seem to stay out of trouble. Her journalistic abilities lead her to "Amish country" in search of a missing friend and to solve a mystery of two Amish boys arrested for stealing a car. Bubbles has to totally play the part of an Amish woman which means no tight clothes, makeup and she can't drive. There are so many storylines and twists going on in this book (a little unrealistic) that you may get confused, but Bubbles will make you laugh. Fiction is all about escaping to another place from our everyday lives and Bubbles is definetley a person that I would love to have as a friend. You will meet plenty of interesting characters from the loud & flashy Mother to a red headed freakazoid with buck teeth. My first read by Strohmeyer, but not my last.

Bubbleicious

Received "Trouble" as a gift, loved it, got "Unbound" from library - liked it even more. I'm so sorry there aren't 5 more titles ahead of me. I don't fall down in hysterics over these adventures but my heart sure smiles hard with these good people. The books are so charming, cleverly imaginative - chock full of unanticipated mile a minute turns. And very well crafted. I don't know how anybody could rate these less than 5 respectful stars. Sarah - thanks for the pleasure. (and get to your typewriter!)

Strohmeyer Bests Evanovich!

The idea of Bubbles Yablonsky visiting the Amish country in disguise is enough of a device to sustain this funny novel. When Bubble's friend does not show up for her wedding, and then her friend's uncle is found dead, Bubbles takes off to save the day. Hunk Stilleto is everpresent, for he has found he cannot live without Bubbles, especially this newer innocent version in Amish garb. Maybe because I was raised in this party of the country, and addicted to shoofly pie (a murder weapon in this case), I found this novel irresistible. Bubbles gets her story and her guy this time out, and the reader gets a real fun read.

Bubbles is back and still laugh out loud funny!

Bubbles is back in her second mystery. This time Bubbles is pulled into Amish country when a good friend disappears on the eve of her wedding. Bubbles has to go undercover as an Amish girl to see if she can find her friend. Of course, being Amish is more difficult for Bubbles than she could ever imagine. No electricity for her blow dryer, no make-up, and no mini-skirts or high heel shoes! What's a girl to do?Of course the sexy Mel Gibson look alike Steve Stiletto makes an appearance as Bubbles lust/love interest. His photographic journalism job has taken him all over the world, but his feelings for Bubbles keeps pulling him right back to Pennsylvania. And when he hears what Bubbles is up to, he has to stay around to try to keep her out of trouble.Sarah Strohmeyer's Bubbles mysteries are laugh out loud fun. The relationships Bubbles has with her mother and her daughter are familiar to anyone, but are taken to a higher, funnier level. I look forward to reading many more Bubbles books in the future. What a hoot!
