When Maryann and Louie complain about the cold and snow, Grandpa tells them about the really cold winter of 1908. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have read James Stevenson to all four of my children. He takes a topic, exaggerates it so creatively that one feels as though one is in the actual story. You can feel the cold in this one so aptly titled, "Brrr". He then winds up his series of outrageous sequels with an unexpected twist of an ending. Great book in general. Good book for introducing the topic of snow/cold/weather as part of a science lesson. Add it to your library!
