Could be and should be better

I am familiar with Celtic history, culture, and mythology/religion. When the author shares information on folklore or historical records, it shows and I enjoyed it…for a while. Sadly, it is obvious that she did not do any research on Catholicism beyond what neo-pagan blogs rant about. Example: she claims that St. Brigid was unusual as a Church figure because she was a fighter and spoke against Church leaders. I think it would delight the author to know that many saints have a “rough around the edges” life and role within their faith and that St. Brigid has many compatriots to bond with. And this was just one of many falsities about Church theology. If you want to write a book on spiritual reality, then treat it as the serious matter that it is.
