My Copy Reeks of Cigarette

I bought two copies - one for me and the other for my friend. The copy I gave my friend is fine, my copy stinks of cigarette. I am contemplating returning it back if the hassle is worth it and requesting another copy. Content is very good and helpful in all relationships - work, personal, self, etc.

Our women’s group leader offered this book as something to go over and I was believing I’d be receiving the book version as pictured.. .. nope, I received 6 books of the OLD version so now our leader had to go buy the older version just to be able to be on the same version as us. Waste of money and time..

I purchased two of these books one for myself and someone else the picture displayed the newer updated version I received and old version of the book when a complaint was made and my willingness to return the items I was denied. I was a new customer to this store and didn’t realize they tend to use the most recent picture of the book instead of what the actual book is but with that being said they have lost a new customer and I will discourage anyone else who considers buying from them not to.

The picture shows the updated and expanded version of this book, but you will receive the old version that is updated. I should have checked the reviews first, Because I am not the only one that has been fooled.

Not happy. Got a hard cover ordered a soft cover got the 1982 book not the one that was pictured.

I purposely got the hardcover book rather than the paper back (which I would’ve preferred the paperback) because I wanted the newer version of the book and instead the old version came pretty upsetting

So I have 6 other copies of this book in English, this book has the same cover but in Spanish. I honestly was expecting the same size book. it was really small and the reader has some eye issues. Again this is my fault for not looking at the size of the book and assuming, only giving the review to remind others to check the book size as small book = small text inside = inability for some to read.

Thought I was getting the 2018 edition, which is what the picture is. It’s a classic book that has helped a lot of people but I wanted the new edition.

I got the older version of this book. The front cover looks totally different. I am in the class and we read the book together, so I am afraid that the one I got won't work. It is good to read alone outside the class though.

I do not like this book. I also did not receive the book pictured, as another reviewer stated. Additionally, this book is all about my Christian relationship with God... well, I don't have one of those and I don't want one. That is a firm boundary I can stick to! I thought this was a self-help book written by psychologists and it's my fault I
didn't check that detail. Bummer.

The newly updated is what’s pictured and sold. However, you will only receive the older version. This is frustrating because I am doing a book study with a friend and will not have the same version. On top of that!! They left a .52 cent YARD SALE sticker on it…

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others. It really helps in understanding the why behind the conflict, and how boundaries are needed and should be respected. It re-enforced some learnings from therapy and a co-dependent group. It helped me with saying No, and not having to explain my no. It helped me define boundaries with several people that I had neglected to do so before.

This book is very educational and practical. It helps the reader to be introspective regarding their boundaries and it provides the reader with information that will enable him/her to apply the change to his/her life .

I am very disappointed. The book I received is an older printing of this book AND old workbook ~ Not what is pictured!! 😢 someone had lent the pictures copy to me but I had to return before finished. I thought I’d purchase my own.

Unfortunately, 4 of the 50 used books ordered were not usable. They were overly highlighted, tagged with book markers and written in ink. I appreciate the price reduction. However, I give these books away to patients at no cost to them except to read and review in session.
