Bound Over: Indentured Servitude and American Conscience

This is my first time reviewing a book here, but I just had to. If you are looking for information on this subject, that is also entertaining, and easy to read, buy it. The book is a series of individual stories that, taken together, provide an excellent illustration of early virginia labor (both black and white) much of it taken from that very period. Some of the news clippings from the time, that punctuate each chapter,can be hillarious. Opened my eyes to quite a bit.
