The characters stared back at you from the pages of this masterpiece with vivid realism, you feel and experience their every emotion, and you virtually find yourself navigating along every sequence as the story unfolded, with pulse-pounding excitement. The world of the powerful and the criminal element in our society has never been so passionately and colorfully potrayed as Ms. Basile has done, possibly in the same league as Mario Puzo's "Godfather" and Irving Wallace's "The Word". A very important piece of Literary fiction.
