This book is the "bible" for anyone interested in the art and techniques of finishing a quilt. Anything and everything you need to know is laid out in an easy to read format, with clear illustrations to demonstrate the techniques. Sally Collins is truly a master in quiltmaking AND in teaching. She explains everything in glorious detail but in a very clear and easy to understand format. Her quilts are candy for your eyes, and make me believe that I can do it too!
Quality and artistry all in one

This is a fabulous book for someone interested in improving the quality of their patchwork and creating the visual artistry we admire in award winning quilts. It is not for the "do-it-quicker" crowd. The skills and techniques take practice and time - but precision and high quality will be your reward. I also strongly recommend Ms. Collins' book "Mastering Precision Piecing" - which complements the information in this book. Both books are "keepers" and welcome additions to my library. Note: this is not a book of "projects," but a book about how to design and create beautiful, balanced borders and bindings for YOUR quilt.

Every project lurks around in my sewing room till it is completely finished. I was inspired to complete several more of my quilts after seeing the methods used in this book. Very thorough and great pictures.
