This book moves from one bloody encounter to another with a speed that will take your breath away, each fight and death described in all it's savagery. The bandits are beautifully portrayed, Senorita Diablo in particular being a woman you wouldn't want to meet. The heat, dirt, and the struggle to survive in the harsh landscape, written so well you could almost be there. But one wouldn't expect anything less from Jon Sharpe, and for those who enjoy the tougher, more brutal, type of westerns, then this book is for you. Highly recommended.
