Silly-Spooky

My 7 year old son loves this book. creative, silly, and just spooky enough for the kiddos.

'Spooky Whimsical' and a joy for children and parents

It's rare to find a children's book that is both written AND illustrated by the same author. Mrs. Cambria Evans does just that, and sets an incredible standard for other multi-talented children's book authors. The story is engaging and frankly, quite hilarious, and the pictures are rich and detailed to boot. We thought it was great! All in all, Bone Soup is a rare gem because of its top-rate storyline(so funny and clever!) and its whimsically scary illustrations. Just like the other reviewers have said, the illustrations that accompany the storyline are not only well-crafted, but witty and multi-dimensional. Parents will be smiling along with their children as they enjoy this fantastic Halloween book together, around Halloween time and all year long. Five stars for Bone Soup! It really gets you in the spooky mood. Oh, and I'd love a plush Finnigan and bone soup cauldron for my niece and nephews....

A Halloween Tradition

We discovered Bone Soup last year around Halloween time. Our kids (ages 5 (boy) and 3 (girl)) love the illustrations and quirky story. This story walks the fine line well between too scary (our kids get scared easily) and still having some good Halloween spirit. In addition, this is one of the few children books that we enjoy reading over and over again with our Kids. As a kid I loved the Stone Soup story and this Halloween-themed adaptation is perfect. Last year my wife started a Bone Soup party where the kids' friends get together read this book and make "Bone Soup."

Bone Soup...

My kids loved it...easy read (over and over again) Yes it's a parody but still good.
