Is he lying?

I recently got back into the world of dating - and after watching numerous new singles shows on tv, I thought it was time I brushed up on my body language. So I bought Susan Quilliam's book - and I must say it's brilliant! Not only do I now know if a guy's showing all the signs that he fancies me, I'm also dressing better, talking to people more openly and noticing when my friends and family are feeling a bit put out!! Plus I always wanted to know how to tell if someone's lying... read the book... it's fascinating!

Wide range of topics, but not really in-depth enough.

I think the author of this book, Susan Qualliam, is in quite a difficult position, the topics she has chosen to cover are all very complex and all have had books devoted to them. I think this book is probablly designed to give an introduction to the novice of body language. I don't study anything to do with body language so I did find that this book was saying new things which I seemed to know subconciously but was never sure. The problem is though, when you get an important sub-titled paragraph, for example, self confidence, she tells you no more than a page and a half on it. There are many entire books devoted to self confidence!!Another problem with the book, allthough it isn't very long, the subtitles are disorganised. I didn't feel as if one led on to another. Also finding a particular subtitle is difficult because they're not listed in the contents page, for example, she classifies a sub-title, public speaking under the chapter Total Strangers(instead of succeeding at work). Other than this lack of depth, I found the book an excellent introduction to the subject, very helpfull in many ways and a good lead on into a specialized area. In conclusion I would recommend this book as long as you don't need to much detail on one particular aspect. Thankyou for reading this and I hope it was helpfull.
