Body Chemistry

The ladies of the Black Stockings Society are at it again. This time they are helping to transform biologist Brenda Everton into the woman that she secretly longs to be. Brenda doesn't really care about fashion or style because she wears a lab coat all day. She does however care about the funding for the project she has been working on for the past few years. She only has funding for four more months and she did not receive the grant she applied for. That is where the society comes in. After the untimely death of her friend, Brenda starts to reevaluate her life. She decides to take the society up on their offer. She also decides to take her millionaire ex-husband up on his offer to give her the money to fund her project in exchange for getting her back. Body Chemistry is a well written story by Dara Girard. Girard's writing style flows without having lagging moments in the story. Body Chemistry is the third book in the Black Stockings Society series. Girard is keeping the plots fresh and the characters believable. She is also starting to give clues about the society itself. Girard is showing the signs of a good writer by giving enough to keep you wanting more. Reviewed by Tenecia for Urban Reviews

I really believe that each book gets better than the last. Dominic was sexy and he loved Brenda but his other love was his work. He learned that the hard way. Brenda was smart and took herself way too serious. After getting the makeover she did loosen up, but was still guarded with her feelings. I love the way all the men were acting towards her after the makeover and how honest she was with herself and what PART she played in their marriage. Dominic was just way to cool and I loved them both because she was a little nutty and he was calmer. This made them perfect for each other. It was good read, and I can't wait for the next one.

I am not too familiar with Dara Girard books but I have to say it was a good and quick read! I definitely will read the rest of the black stockings society series.
