Blue Pearl, also known as nila bindu, is a tiny point in the crown chakra that is the seed of Consciousness, or the higher Soul. Blue Pearl is the story of the quest of Santino Garcia Reyes, a young Cuban boy who leaves his home on a quest of spiritual enlightenment on the mythical island of Costa Rica to seek spiritual fulfillment and wisdom. On his journey, Santino encounters a chess playing postal worker, successful merchants, as well as a woman who would forever change his outlook on life while a simple migrant coffee worker who has attained enlightenment teaches him the secrets of life. It is finally a wise shaman who gives him passage into the world of the Blue Pearl that forever changes Santino's life to become "a Teacher of Teachers". Synthesizing disparate philosophies-Eastern religions, Jungian archetypes, Western individualism-into a unique vision of life as expressed through one man's search for meaning.
