Blokes & Sheds

Having lived on the fair isles of New Zealand I can tell you Blokes and Sheds is a delightful tribute to the quirky individualist Kiwi male. A ture bloke can make anything out of number 10 wire and has stacks of it just in case they might need to wire their way out of a pickle. A bloke's particular shed is more like a shrine to their vision of a man's world as being just out the back. They sit uncomfortably on sofas. Whether biker or CEO, every respectable bloke in New Zealand keeps a shed just in case. It is an honor to be invited to a shed. The next best thing (or a step up in location) is the 'batch'. More of a shared shed for hanging out in some special place like a cliff side with 360 degree view of a windswept beach below. Seldom with hot and cold running water but probably a home made solar shower on the roof with a spigot 'round the back out of the wind. Bunk beds if you are lucky. Oh, and a kerosene lamp. What more could you ever want??
