Awesome book, terrible condition.

Got the book marked as “good” when it came in it was stained and pages were stuck together and it smelled of something awful!! Im disappointed but not surprised. The book itself is awesome

thumbs up!!

Tales From Beneath Your Mom, the biography of blink 182 was a fantastic book. It tells you blink's history from start to finish clearly, and vividly. The facts are truthful and thorough from Anne Hoppus, who happens to be Mark Hoppus' sister (bassist) of blink 182. The book is told from Anne's perspective in every which way. From the band to their jokes to the potty humor, pranks and tours, Anne is descript about it all. I enjoyed the fact that Anne included quotes and blurbs from Tom, Mark, Travis & even Scott (blink's first drummer) themselves, as well as unseen photos from early on in their years (so cute!!). If you are a big music fan or a fan of the boys of blink in general, this would be the book for you to read.

"Tales from Beneath Your Mom" makes you want to start a band

When I bought "Tales from Beneath Your Mom" I quickly raced home, poped in "Dude Ranch" and sat on my floor for three hours straight as the story of Blink 182 unfolded infront of me. Even though the youngest of the three guys, Tom Delonge, is 11 years older than me, it's hard not to have a deep respect and admiration for their hard work over the past ten years. Realising that I was six years old when the band formed back in 92, and now, at fifteen, I wish that I was older. I wish that I had gotten the chance to be one of the six fans to go to their first shows, I wish I had been older so that I could have gotten the chance to get to know these incredibly amazing guys. If even a ditzy girl from northern california can appreciate and read this book over and over again, any one else can.Pick up a copy of "Tales from Beneath Your Mom", I guarentee you'll fall in love Blink even more that you were before, and it will make you want to start your own band in the hopes of having such incredible adventures.

if you think you like em now, after this book you'll love em

i've been to all their shows, have all thier songs, but this book completes it. this book tells how they started from a garage band to playing in sold out arenas, thier happiness and turmoils, and everything else. this book also gave my band and i inspiration because we're just another punk band trying to make it. i totally recommend this book, because its awsome its interesting, and it'll the best book ever is you're a blink fan.

Congradulations Anne Hoppus! A fantastic blink book!

I remember sitting in university art class with Anne Hoppus one day , and she remarked that she would like to be a writer. Now i believe her. Having been a fan of blink for many years, I found that Anne's book was touching and brought back wonderful memories of all the early shows and observing the band on the sidelines go through a tremendous rise to stardom. The pictures are fantastic, a few of which I believe have never left the Hoppus bedroom archives. However, as with any band biography, some information is incorrect. There is no mention of the Short Bus 7", for example. Also, Scott's leaving the band is handled rather blandly, with no mention of alcohol, fights with Jordan or the infamous incident at the Hotel Coronado that left Scott's heels broken.I highly recommend the book to any fan of blink. If you are a more recent admirer, it will be interesting for you to see the band's long history on the local scene in San Diego. But if you've been around awhile, and remember blink in the dungeon at Soma or the sidestage definately buy it! You might catch yourself in one of the many audience pictures.Congradulations Anne!

Great book!

This is a great book and a very quick read with lots of pics. The book covers the early years of Blink and ends right about the time Travis joins the band and Enema of the State comes out. Seems a bit dated (wonder how long it was in line to be published) as the only thing on Take off your Pants and Jacket is a photo. Anyhow... a great book and great stories from Mark, Tom, Scott, Travis and Anne!
