Deputy U.S. Marshal Casey Sloane has worked at the St. Louis Marshals office for two years and is given a routine assignment to help transport a reporter to D.C. to testify before a grand jury. Valerie, the reporter, was writing a story about an up-and-coming environmentalist who suddenly disappeared and, she later discovered, whose backers purportedly have ties to a terrorist. When the seemingly ordinary assignment suddenly takes a shocking turn, Casey is forced to put aside her own feelings about the unexpected reappearance of a man from her past as she and two other Marshals take Valerie on the run. And as it becomes dangerously clear Valerie's testimony has even bigger implications than they knew, they'll do whatever it takes to make it out alive.
Blind Betrayal by Nancy Mehl is the third book in her Defenders of Justice series. Wow, what a story! I’m not sure that there are enough adjectives to describe it. From the explosive first page all the way to the spell-binding end you are kept on the edge of your seat, waiting for what will happen next. U.S Marshal Casey Sloane has to escort a reporter to Washington to testify. What seems like an easy assignment turns into a life or death struggle. Not only for Casey but also for the reporter. Trying to stay one step ahead is their only hope of survival. I really enjoyed this story. It was one of those books that you have to stay up way too late so you can finish. I would highly recommend it to any one who loves a lot of action in their stories.

Blind Betrayal - What can I say but wow - what a great suspenseful, romantic and Faith filled story. It is full of action and fun. The subject manner has to do with current things that are happening and is amazingly scary. You have two agents baby sitting an eyewitness - who they found out that that witness was - - - - nah I'm not going to ruin it for you but it is intense and shocking - and explains the whole reason for all the serious twists and turns and screeches and topples - boy is this fun - you will enjoy yourself too if you love mystery and intense suspense. I received a copy of this review from the Publisher and Netgalley; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.
