Blackwood's woman is the best of Barton's Protectors. It has some magical elements (like the rings) but somehow it seems realistic dream come true. The heroine has been raped and hero has only one eye after the accident. Together they find a way to be a pair. J.T. protects his woman and together they fight the problems. The heroine's rape is an important and interesting theme in this book. She needs to find the key to be a woman totally again after a traumatic experience. J-T. makes sure that every other male around knows whose woman heroine is. This book is definitely worth a reprint.And... Washington (the horse) was good ;-).
