Blackie is for real!

We live in Tiburon and my childern remember Blackie when they were tots. This is a true story and it is wonderful even if you never saw this old black horse. Blackie was a part of our community and now he can be a part of children's storys all over the world. There is no scary or violent words in the entire story and it all rymes too! A must read for kids of all ages

Blackie, The Horse Who Stood Still

This title was purchased for my grand children yet it was my wife and myself who "entered" this special story before passing it on to our younger readers. Mr. Cerf's words reminded us of times past while Ms. Peterson's broad and colorful brush strokes brought life to each page. This is a read for both the young and old. Philip Hart

Best Children's Book since Cat in the Hat

Truly an inspiration, the book incorporates a heartwarming narrative with a poignant message of environmental preservation . Congratulations to both the author and illustrator as "Blackie, The Horse Who Stood Still" is clearly the number 1 children's tale in recent memory as it recaptures the innocence and beauty of childhood. I highly recommend it to all ages as I know anyone who reads it will be as touched as I was.
