Blackbeard's Gift

James R. Clifford has crafted an exciting adventure story that has all the elements: pirates, treasure, intrigue, murder, love, and a diverse plot. It all comes alive with well defined characters and engaging descriptions. He does a superb job of recreating the 18th century time period and making the reader believe all of John Rutherford's adventures could actually have happened. Anyone who enjoys seafaring adventures will certainly find this novel well worth reading.
