Great bird book for birdwatchers in MO

I just started birdwatching, and this is the first book that I bought to help me along. It is arranged by bird color, which is great for beginners like me who have no idea what to look for. I would say that this is a great book for beginners, but maybe a bit too simple for people who have been birdwatching for awhile. I am about ready for a new book myself...

This book is great & simple to reference by color of bird. Info on each bird is great. What is really nice is it covers only Missouri. Highly reccommend for beginner Bird watchers. Bought one for myself & my retired Mom. She loves the simplicity of it.

Once you have found the color, then you can examine the traits of the birds that can help you identify the one you have seen. The book is very informative and eliminates birds that are not in Missouri for easier identification.
