I enjoyed this story, as I do everything he writes. It kept me turning the pages. Maybe not the deepest storyline but they don't all have to be. I do love SK. There's no one who writes like him, honestly. His characters are so REAL. You could meet any one of them today, at the Walmart, while you're in the checkout lane.

Imho, one of his best novels of intrigue, suspense, a bad man trying to change his path as a writer who finds himself in a cabin above the infamous Overlook Hotel. The characters are flawed but very real. I was riveted.

Dang, this was an awesome read. Has a few very cool references to some of my old faves (Shining; The Stand - will definitely read again down the line to see if I missed any others). A good, long satisfying adventure. Very hard to put down but I made myself cuz I didn't want to finish it too quickly. I'm 72 and retired so I could have read non-stop but I chose to saver it. Not enuf "o's" in COOL! I HOPE the master does a continuation...

Fifteen years ago, I read Carrie and it inspired me to never pick up another Stephen King book again. But I want to understand! So to celebrate Billy Summers and understand the phenom, I asked his biggest ThriftBooks fans to tell me what they love so much. Maybe they’ll inspire me to pick up a King title and give him a try?
