EXCELLENT!

I was amazed by the quality of this book. The writing, the characters, and the believability are all there. The characters - Naomi and Joe - are very 'real' - you are definitely not reading a formula romance - the characters have normal conversations, normal interactions, and a 100% believable romance. It's hard to explain, but the book was just .. perfect. I didn't feel as if I was dropping my level of intelligence to read this; in fact, the writing is quality and the conversations between characters feel like they are taking place in `real-time.' There were a lot of scenes that women can identify with, and I really liked how honest Naomi was - it was great. She didn't say the right things just to get the guy - she was her own woman, and when she didn't like something, she said that. The book was funny, sexy, intelligent. There was a minimal amount of swearing, and the characters really grew and developed throughout the novel. Every scene was necessary to the plot and I really liked how Naomi had body issues - it was overdone a bit at times, but it helped to bring more sensitivity to the character of Joe. Anyway, the plot was rather lame, but the book is character-driven anyway so it didn't matter much. The lead male - Joe - is very sexy, and his banter/interaction with Naomi was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the scenes between Joe and his family. Very high marks for this effort and I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a keeper

Sequel to her debut book, MY HERO. When she was twelve years old, Naomi Connor innocently hacked into Brennan Shipping, a company with many sensitive defense contracts, and almost destroyed them. When she realized what she'd done, Naomi turned herself in. She wasn't charged because of Brennan CEO Mary Casey's compassion. Now, twenty years later, former hacker Naomi is a computer security expert and leads a team hired to test Brennan's new security system. She works closely with Mary Casey's son, Joe, a lawyer and the current CTO for the family-owned company. Joe has strong negative feelings about hackers and he doesn't know Naomi was the hacker back then. They both have rules about romancing coworkers and resist each other as long as possible. But the attraction is hot and they fall in love. This story was emotional, steamy and funny. The way Naomi and Joe got turned on by speaking "geek" was a kick. Naomi was an amazing character - smart, kind, honest, witty - a strong woman. A terrific sequel, well written, can't think of a thing I'd change.

A great read - A "cannot put it down" book

For a relatively new comer to the publishing world, this author has written two very good books. This being her second, is actually better than the last. Although a romantic comedy, there is suspense in this book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. There are also a few unexpected surprises too. The story is full, the characters are great-one feels they really get a handle on them and gets to know them. The actual story line is interesting and captivating- this is definitely not "fluff". The storty is also relavent in today's world with internet and corporate security very much a reality in our lives.

Love it!

I was looking forward to readig another of Marianna Jameson's books and was excited to see Big Trouble. Well she did it, she topped my Hero, Love it! I really enjoy the characters in this book and the story line adds some excitement and suspense. I can't wait to turn the page to see what happens next.

Big Trouble is big fun

Computer security consultant Naomi Connor is making sure Brennan Shipping's computer system is un-hackable. Unbeknownst to Joe Casey, Naomi hacked into the company's computer system when she was only twelve, nearly bringing the company down. Now she plans to redeem herself, but her plans don't include falling in love with Joe. And Joe's don't include dating a work associate or any kind of long-term relationship. If they do give in to the attraction between them...if he does find out about what she did all those years ago...they could be in BIG TROUBLE. BIG TROUBLE has a great plot, great romance, great hero/heroine. I learned a few things I didn't know, which is always a bonus. Although it has laugh out loud lines, there is also a serious underpinning. In the story beginning, Naomi says she's looking for redemption, but what they're both looking for is acceptance. And, of course, a lot of sex. This book has both. After reading it, I want to read Jameson's first book, MY HERO.
