Bible Stories for Children

I collect childrens picture and story books and this one stands out. The authors name is not mentioned anywhere in this 1984 edition that I could find, but is listed in the 2006 edition. It is very well written and makes the stories brief and to the point and also captivating. The illustrations are what really makes this book stand out among other children's books, both bibilical and nonbiblical. The beautiful transparency of the paintings and the absolutely stunning colors and the talent artist Rene Cloke has in drawing people and animals is mesmerizing. She also has a great talent for conveying the drama of the story. I absolutely LOVE this book, and it is one that your child will likely love to have you read to him. It's BEAUTIFUL.
