Beyond Death

If one has the patience to read any of the books about Cayce's life and work, which apparently Jeri Nevermind doesn't, there is a lot to be gained. Of course, it is necessary to have a belief, through building experience with the entirety of Cayce's work, that there is a spiritual world. From that premise, study of Cayce's life and work with an open-minded attitude will bring about an expanded view in your life of our existence on the earth. Cayce was renowned for his abilities during his lifetime, and he was consulted by many famous people, including Presidents and Kings. Of course, there were critics also, as not everyone can expand their mindset to encompass a world beyond the material one we see everyday. But it was this world of spirit that animates the material world that Cayce was able to connect to and spoke of in his "readings." During his lifetime Cayce was best known for his health readings, and there is extensive evidence that when those who consulted him followed his advice - which he "read" from the world of spirit - their life and health improved. If you are just getting started with Edgar Cayce's view of existence, I recommend reading There Is A River by Thomas Sugrue first, because that book will give you the background to understand how Cayce got his information and how his work was presented to the world. It will also help you understand the character of Cayce's life, which is an important tool in determining credibility. Trying to launch into his work with this book, as enticing a subject as it is, may be too difficult without a base of understanding about his life and work. Mr. Sugrue's book will lay the foundation for reading other works about Cayce. I find Robert J. Grant's books, based on Cayce's work, to be good reads because Mr. Grant can take Cayce's sometimes difficult speech pattern and make it easy to understand.
