I was not expecting too much from this book when I realized the author wrote it to acquaint French students with American history from 1919 to 1941, but the book reads very well, and the opinions he expresses on the events during that period are sensible and logical. This is a good review of the period. There are no footnotes, but there is a decent 'bibliographical essay.' He on page 165 calls Atlee Pomerene a Republican Senator from Ohio, whereas he was a Democrat. And he refers on page 166 to Wright Patman as a Senator, but he was a Representative. These are the only factual errors I noted.
