The riveting second book in an exciting new thriller trilogy wherein Joanna, the new girl in town finds herself drawn further into a web of deceit and lies when her new friends commit yet another accidental murder.
Joanna has now discovered what really happened to Laurie. But it's even more complicated then it seems. She is growing closer to Penn, but she doesn't even know if he's told her all her secrets. And one of the group, Casey, is blackmailing the others. Stephen, Laurie's killer, is about to snap. Joanna can only pray Casey isn't his next victim. There was a lot of suspense in this book, but it's probably been wrongly labeled as a horror story. It's more mystery/suspense.
The Secret that NEEDS to be told!

Janice Harrell keeps up her pace with book 2 "The Betrayal". You become more involved with Joanna and Penn, digging deeper and deeper into the secret that Penn and his group of friends share. Now its time to tell Joanna about it, and now she's apart of it. This book is very suspenseful and keeps you guessing...of course another cliff-hanger ending leaves you to track down #3 "The Escape" (I hope to find the last one in my local library!)

This book was one of the best I have ever read. I can't wait to see what happens in the last one. It has a weird change of events that keeps you interested.

I loved this book. It's one of my all time favorites and I was so crazed to hear that it was out of print. Everyone should read this book and it is so unfair that people can't get it now! I can't wait for the next Janice Harrell book and I just hope the next is as good as the last.
