Best Places Seattle: The Locals' Guide to the Best Resturants, Lodging, Sights, Shopping, and More!

I describe myself as someone who likes to get to the point. I don't want a lot of fluff and having been a graphic designer, I like a travel guide that is simple, organized, and brings me to the must see places in town. This is it! Get this book! You want to know where to go plain and simple - this is the one to get. I find myself lost and wandering around guide books that are so rote with information, that I feel like I am reading a user's manual for brain surgery!!! The book includes maps of the areas you would like to go, it gives you upfront information of what to expect and look for when you get to Seattle, it organizes the restaurants by type of food, most recommended, and more. It is an easy read. Enjoy Seattle and other locations, as I would want to reference this book for future excursions as well.

We keep a copy of this book in our guest room. Lots of people who have stayed with us have used it and have been very happy with the information it contains (short trips to take or activities to do in and around the Seattle area).My only criticism is that the section with restaurant recommendations is lacking -- but the dining culture of Seattle changes so frequently that this isn't a significant negative for a general-purpose "Best Places" book.

This guide was amazing! I was extremely pleased with it & I will definetly buy more "Best Places" guides in the future.
