"The Best of Brain Droppings" reminds readers of what we recently lost when Carlin died. It is an easy read (actually, too short - but that was part of the objective), and entertaining. I particularly enjoyed his comparison of baseball and football, oxymorons, naming problems (the "Fire Department" doesn't start fires - it should be called the "Extinguishing Department"), favorite redundancies (exactly right, money-back refund, true fact), and various other items that mystified and/or amused Carlin.
