The lessons and messages taught in these Lucado books through Punchinello and his friends are very effective. If you want children with great self esteem, high confidence, ability to choose the right path, not afraid to say 'no' to peer pressure, always treat others with respect, leaders amongst their friends, far less troubles than other kids....then you'll get all Lucado books like this and read them to your kids. The kids love the stories, and I bet there's even a message parents will get as well. You can't buy a better book for your grandchildren, children, nieces, nepwhews or friends. Make an investment in your kids future that pays off big time. Ours has already, and we're so glad we did!

The students at my (elementary) school love Max Lucado's books and this is one of their favorites. It is a message that is told over and over again - everyone is different, everyone is special. But Mr. Lucado tells this story in a new way, simply and beautifully. As a teacher, I can't recommend it enough. As an adult, I appreciate the message. As a kid who doesn't want to grow up, I just love the story and characters.

My daughter's religion teacher recommended these books to me. Her words say it best, "It doesn't get any better." The stories are endearing! The meanings are simple and clear to young readers. I'm sending a set to my niece and nephews. You won't be disappointed.

I love this book and the entire series! I have given these books as gifts to children I know for several years and will continue. In fact, I love reading them as much as the kids I give them to. Lucado teaches us in a simple way that God's love is for everyone. Throughout this series he has found a simple way to convey who God really is to children. I wish I had these books when I was a child. What a simple way to learn who you are in relation to your Holy Father. I would recommend this series to both children and adults.

We really enjoyed this book. We are always amazed at how Max Lucado is able to illustrate God's love in stories that children (and adults) can relate to. The art is a compliment to the story and completes this great book. Five Stars.
