Bert & the Broken Teapot (A Sesame Street Growing-Up Book)

In the fairly unlikely event that anyone comes looking for this, I felt compelled to toss in my 2 cents. This is a wonderful book...despite its somewhat "dime-a-dozen" appearance. This is one of my favorite stories to read to 2-year-olds and up. It tells a simple story of an accident happening, and the worry of long-term consequences. Sometimes we can't make everything all better. But the lovely message that friendships between people can be stronger than china teapots is one that all children should learn. It's a beautiful sentiment which can teach about giving and receiving forgiveness, and the value of understanding. These may be just cartoon-drawn Muppets telling it, but it's a story grown-ups should pay attention to as well. Really, pick this up while you still can...it'll be worth it, I assure you!
