Hilarious!

This book is SO funny and it made me want to be best friends with the characters and go to "brazil" as well!! I recommend it to anyone who wants a great laugh!

Bergdorf blondes ...great chick lit

Bergdorf blondes is one of the best chick lit books I've ever read..and trust me, I've read quite a few. It's a light-hearted look into the lives of the rich and shallow and with a laugh or two or three a page. Great one-liners right throughout this book e.g. "I made a note to myself to copy the eye makeup but not the personality", "She was wearinng a sparkling engagement ring the size of Manhattan", "Muffy was as hyperactive as a Japanese tourist in a Louis Vuitton outlet store". Meant to entertain and that's what it does. Plum Sykes' writing is indeed top shelf reading if you're looking for amusement of the Ritz type...(and on that note, check out the suicide scene at the Ritz..hilarious). Well done Plum...please give us Bergdorf Blondes 2!

Fabulous Fun

Do I buy my designer steals at thrift stores and online? Yes. Am I living the horribly stringent life of a college student on the verge of graduating? Yep. Are there some weeks when peanut butter and jelly is the only meal I can afford? Absolutely. Even with that I found this book to be fabulously a fun ride and absorbing read. It is hella shallow, its even somewhat unconcerned with deep character development and that is part of its job. It sucks you into this story, that isn't really a story so much as incredibly entertaining window into the world of the selflessly shallow. If you resist the urge to judge the characters and recognize that their tantrum over a ripped McQueen is just as important (silly?) as your spending a half an hour to find the TV remote, then you'll enjoy the book. And so what if you walk away imagining how oxygen facials and trips to Paris could improve your life? Its okay to be a little bit selfish, its even fun and more than anything, its real. I recommend this to anyone who isn't too obsessed with how they shouldn't act. I'm sure you'll laugh out loud, especially at the satirical lists and observations of FRGs (Front Row Girls.

The best chic lit book ever!

This book is laugh out loud fabulous. It is not of serious substance, but hey that is what real life is for. This book is great entertainment for the fashion-minded woman. I sing its praises to all of my friends. A must-read for sure!

Nice!

Haven't finished the book yet, but so far so good. It's way funny. Gotta love those girlie books! :)
