BEHIND THOSE EYES was brillant to say the least! It completely consumed me i felt like i was right there the whole time! I didnt get a wink of sleep untill i was done with it and I am actually reading it again! an absolute no no for alot of people but to me it was just that good! And my anticipation for her next book LOVESTONED is out of control i cant wait! If its anything like BEHIND THOSE EYES not in story line but in over all greatness i will give it 7 stars!

APOOO Rating: 4.5 Behind Those Eyes by T.P. Carter opens with a timeless moment that instantly grabs the reader's attention. From there, we meet Dr. Taiyler Richardson. Taiyler is a woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. Like any successful woman, she wants a successful man who can fulfill all her needs. When she meets Derrick, at one of her sorority's annual events, she dismisses him. But Derrick has his sights set on her and he will not give up until he has her as his woman. After much trying, Derrick achieves success and Taiyler gives him a chance. The two have a wonderful relationship, they get along well and they enjoy each other's company but things change once Derrick introduces Taiyler to his best-friend, Nathanial Woods. Nathanial Woods is a man who loves his wife and daughter. He thanks God everyday because of those two females in his life. Life for him is right where he wants it to be as a married man with a child; he has great friends, a steady career and good health. But when he meets his best-friend Derrick's girlfriend, Taiyler, his life as he knows it alters forever. Nathanial and Taiyler are faced with a dilemma of what to do as two individuals who have a growing affection for one another that cannot be ignored but both are in equally committed relationships. The supporting characters, Derrick and Taiyler's best-friend Shala, are quite important in this story as well. Derrick is a successful business man who is a ladies man. He is no stranger to playing the field but when he meets Taiyler, for the first time in his life he begins to entertain thoughts about having a `happily ever after' with her. Shala is having an issue with revealing the truth about her sexuality to her family. She is unwilling to compromise herself because of the love and the freedom she feels while being with the one she loves. Behind Those Eyes by T.P. Carter is simply amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The writing style was refreshing and readers will enjoy how as each chapter progresses there is a switch between the main and supporting characters. The theme was fascinating and very thought-provoking. What if you were in a relationship with someone you loved and another person came along that happens to be your soul-mate, what would you do? It is a situation that would require a great deal of thought; this is what the main characters have to go through. Speaking of the main characters, to readers they will seem like real-life people. Readers will be able to say they know someone like main characters Nathaniel Woods and Taiyler Richardson. There is also a particular paranormal element in this story that deals with the essence of time. Once readers have completed the story, they will understand how love will transcend time when soul-mates meet. This is a passion-filled, sensual book that I recommend to all book lovers. T.P Carter did and excellent job of writting a story that captures your heart. Let me say if are not into the "soul mate theroy" then this book is not for you but if you are like me and believe that one person in this world can compete you then this book is for you. When I finished I was just in awe. thank you T.P for bringing back romance.

I loved this book! The story line was beautiful and powerful. I can't believe this was her first novel. It was the best book I have read in a very long time. I can't wait for her next novel.
