Really good read!

This was a really good book! Very easy reading. Plot was excellent! It took me about 1 week to read. I wish there was a sequel!

Thought it would be FAARRRR better!

This was her first book, and I never finished it. It wasn't bad; it was just predictable. I just, plain, didn't want to read the ending when I already knew what to expect. Took me fifteen minutes to discover that I needed to put it down and read something else. I think I did browse through the last few chapters, though, just to see if something would surprise me...... But....I couldn't give my girl just ONE lousy star. She's an AMAAAAAZING writer and was declared my favorite Author about four or five novels ago! I refuse to give her one star because I've seen what she can do with words and it's magic!

Very enjoyable!

Wonderful! Ok I read the original version of the book. It was recently re-released, but I'm sure none of the original information was deleted. What I read was reverse discrimination. That's right a light skinned woman who was jealous of dark skinned people. She was jealous of her own best friend and didn't even know it. It took losing her husband to realize her faults, even though he was wrong for what he did because he knew how she was before he married her. But Regina was more of a woman than I would have been if I had caught my husband with his guard down. She took it as best she could I guess. Even though she did pout for awhile and almost went postal, she finally got it together. Her best friend on the other hand had to deal with a gambler who wouldn't admit he had a problem and ended up losing a lot. Now the way she handled this situation was not good because the first time I would have found out the fool lost all that money he would have been gone. But just like a love struck woman she kept taking him back because of the promises. The end proves good for both women though and you'll find that one is not so color struck anymore. This book is a must read!

GREAT BOOK

I READ THIS BOOK ABOUT A YEAR AGO BUT I STILL HAVE SOME OF THE ISSUES FRESH IN MY MIND. THIS WAS A GREAT, EASY TO READ NOVEL THAT DEALT WITH THE JOY AND PAIN OF MARRIED LIFE. I SHARED THIS BOOK WITH SEVERAL OF MY CO-WORKERS AND I TELL YOU THIS BOOK MADE SOME MAD, LAUGH AND CRY. KIM, THANKS FOR SHOWING HOW WOMEN OF THE 90'S DEAL WITH RELATIONSHIP DRAMA. WE NO LONGER STAY IN UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.KIM, I WILL CONTINUE TO READ YOUR WORK. I AWAIT YOU NEXT BOOK. YOU ARE GETTING BETTER WITH EACH ONE. BE BLESSED!

one for the collection

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were real and the story was well written. It's just too bad that the main characters had to put up with foolish men but that's what really made the book feel real.
