Begin GD Darkrm Tech

This book has lots of great tips you will not find in other darkroom books. It's not as scholarly as, say, Horenstein's books, but is more conversational, along the lines of Ansel Adams' books. In fact, the chatty style of the author is one reason I like the book and bought others by the same guy. The book is very comprehensive and provides information about darkroom setup and operations. I found the sections on printmaking especially good -- best description I've found so far of how to do flashing, creating test strips, and creating contact prints. Personally, I've not found any single book that has done it all for me, but this is one of the best. The author was a college professor and has the sound of a true teacher -- he doesn't overdo the technical and isn't afraid to say "Don't worry about why this works, just do it and you will see." It's like learning from your uncle or something....
