If you are looking for some history of the US Air Force in Europe and you'd like some fine photography as well...this is your book. As a USAFE veteran, I have to echo General Ascani's five star review. An excellent ride in the "way-back machine." You won't find these kinds of pictures on the internet. Many of these aircraft, and the bases they flew out of are gone now. But we should not forget the men that flew them, and the troops that supported them. It's an excellent time capsule. Now all we need is the next chapter...The Century Series in Europe.
Photographs of All Aircraft are super.

Anyone interested in all fighter aircraft below the F-100 series, and those that were stationed in the United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE) should buy this book. I have received an autographed copy of the first edition and am proud to say I know the author. Having been the wing commander of the 50th FBW portrayed in the book, I was delighted to see the outstanding coverage provided.Seems like old times!
