Bedhead

Beware of untamed hair!!!! This is the best book to read right before picture day. You have to read this book with intonation and humor. After reading this book, I love using a graphic organizer that relates to having a problem. Oliver has a big problem that is solved until .......... picture time.

Oliver is having a bad hair day, on the worst day anyone could imagine -- class picture day! As the entire family soon discovers this is no ordinary bad hair day, it is "major" and "total!" Water, hairspray, brush, comb, mousse and gel are all useless against Oliver's bedhead. You may think that a hat will solve Oliver's problem, but he soon discovers that hats are not permitted on class picture day. Kids howl at the great illustrations and crazily repetitive lines. Parents and grandparents had better get used to it, because there will be demands to hear Bedhead over and over and over again. Very cute. (Give it several extra stars if Mom or Grandma is a hairdresser.)

Kids not only love the subject, but can't resist joining in the refrain of b-b-boings. A great gift for anyone who struggles with chronicor even acute 'bedhead'.

My son turned me on to this book thanks to his pre-school class. His class begs for it to be read...over and over and over. The quirky illustrations and the riotously funny text make for a surefire winner. My son squeals with delight while we read it. A great lively book to share with a child.

Ever have a bad hair day? Of course you have....but not as bad as Oliver's.......It's class picture day and oliver wakes uo to find he has...BEDHEAD. His hair is a big gooey, clumpy frumpy mess....and no matter what he tries...mousse, spritz, gel, water, pins....it's still outta control! You'll laugh as he and his family try to tame his wild 'do. The dialogue is as witty and as wild as Oliver's hair and the illustrations are just as giddy and free. A great book to share with children and adults alike. Very silly good fun.
