Beaded Jewelry: Create Your Own Style

I bought the book as a gift for my wife who has been beading for about 4 months. Almost every week she begins another project from the book and again thanks me for it. She loves the easy to follow directions, step by step instructions, tips, and large color photographs.

I have become obsessed with creating beaded jewelry and have bought several books and magazines on the subject. This one is an excellent guide with its wealth of lovely colored pictures and clear, precise directions to create several projects. I highly recommend this author and this book.

I just received Maya Brenners Beaded Jewelry book. This is a fabulous book for anyone from beginning beading to advanced. Each and every page is filled with beautiful colored photographs with techniques, tips and instructions. I didn't want to put it down. I have been beading for years and I learned things I didn't know before from her book. Maya explains everything in great detail and in simple and easy to follow instructions. When traveling I always love to bring a beading book or magazine along with me so that when I stop into the various bead shops in each city or town that I visit and purchase new and unique beads I have a source to look through. Maya's book is going to be that book I travel with now. It's a 224 page paperback with 215 pages of color photos, instructions and techniques. This is a book you don't want to pass up whether you're a beginner or a novice and the perfect gift for anyone that enjoys beading.

Along with Maya's hot design eye (check out her client list) she provides a great description of different types of beads and suggested color palettes to help both beginning beaders and more experienced beaders overcome that "bead block"! Maya provides luscious designs in both semi-precious stones and in less expensive glass and "mix it up" options. Also included are Maya's ideas on adding personal meaning to your design creation through interpretation of properties attributed to natural gemstones and personal color meanings. A great addition to your beading library!!
