Best golf psychology book ever. Supremely sensible.

There’s a lot written on golf psychology and the mental aspect of this great yet frustrating game, sport, lifestyle. I’ve read more than a handful of these golf self-help books. Be A Player is written in a very easy to understand and practical style. It makes sense and doesn’t require memorizing or taking notes. The two authors divide all golf shots into 3 steps. The Think Box where you think about your course strategy or a physical part of your swing. Second is the Play Box where you turn to a more non-technical way of thinking and envisioning your shot. Finally is the Memory Box. This is how you react to your shot mentally. This is the most important part of the process and stresses practical ways of being positive. This is critical. Many golfers fall apart psychologically at the various hazards like water. No need. This step three is what separates this book from their earlier book Every Shot Must Have a Purpose. And every other book. The authors have worked with many pro golfers and use this experience to bring everything to life. Hard to over rate the value of a positive attitude or this book. Be A Player.
