An Unknown Classic

I love this book, this book is singlehandedly the one thing that made me such an avid reader. This book is a very original piece centering around a sword wielding dragon and his dragon boy. If you read this book expecting the dragon to be an intelligent creature almost like a human, you might be sorely disappointed, but that is still no reason to put this book aside. It is a fresh new look on fantasy and has extremely realistic characters and scenerios and worth the read. However, later books in the series get a little boring and tired out. The people who may not enjoy this appear to be the ones not open to new ideas or a change of scenery in the fantasy world. So if you like your classic fantasy tales, then avoid this book. But if you like the oddball fantasy about a sword swinging dragon, then read this.

wonderful story

I loved this book! I could not put it down because I had to find out what was going to happen next. I am a dragon fan and this is really up there with The Dragon Riders of Pern. The one thing that I was a bit disappointed with was what ever became of the purple-green dragon at the end. Other than that I loved this book! I can't wait to read another Bazil story or any other Christopher Rowley book.

One of Christopher Rowleys bests!

Bazil Broketail is one of the most addictive, exciting and fun to read books I have ever read. It includes amazing fight scenes, exciting plot twists and simply phenominal charachter developement. You follow the lady Lagdalen and orphan boy Relkin through marching legions, intense clashes with imps and trolls, powerfull sorcery, and much more, not to mention the Dragons with their gargantuan strength. A masterful beginning to the wonderful set of books. If you enjoy any of the above, even a little you will be rapt with attention the whole way through. But don't take my word for it, read Bazil Broketail yourself and experiences its greatness first hand.

The Greatest Bazil Broketail Series I Have Ever Read

This book pulls you in, and keeps pulling. The Story has a way of making you to read more. Bazil and his Dragonboy Relkin are my fav characters in the book, I for one like this book because the story is so nicely writen. Christopher has outdone himself, He has brought people to read his books, He is the greatest writer of all time, besides Issac Asimov.

Dragons of Detail

What can I say? The Bazil Broketail series is one of the best fantasy series I've ever read (the other ones being Dragonlance, Discword, Prydain, The Dark is Rising, Krondor, His Dark Materials, and the Earthsea quartet). It is based on a world of powerful necromancers, witches, wizards, elves, dwarves, Battledradons, and men. It goes into amazing detail no matter what page you read. It explains the political system of the relam, the organization of the armies of Argonath are so detailed that I bet you'll never find anything that goes so indepth. What really got me, however, is the fighting between individual characters is so detailed that it feels like you actually there watching the fight happenning! For any fantasy genre reader, this is a must have! Even if you don't like fantasy you will enjoy it? Even military and action readers admit this book deserves at least 4 stars! I've read the series 3 times! It never gets old!
