The layout of the tactics maps is amazing in some aspects, but the best part is, they're easy to follow. They're even numbered to show you what and where the opposing armies advanced. There are many different types of pictures/illustrations; some pictures are of the battlefield in present day, while others are illustrations of common infantry and certain paintings of battles. There are also short(yet descriptive) information boxes about some of the infantry/weapons/people found in certain battles; English Huscarls, Saladin, Seige Weapons, Crusader Man-At-Arms, Almogavar Infantry, etc. Very well planned and descriptive book.
