Great Information

For a beginner this book is what you need, even if you're not a beginner too! It's always good to get back to basics and this book describes everything in easy to understand terms.

Very Helpful

Anything that you may want to know before attempting a quiet complicated task of running live sound is in this book. The book is broken down in very detailed sections of any area that you may have questions about, so you can return to the sections whenever you might encounter a problem at a critical moment. Helpful and handy, I would suggest this book to anyone who is a musician.

Perfect for non professional and beginners

This is the perfect book for someone who needs the basics of audio techniques. It's easy and quick to read. Higly raccommended if you need to understand the basics. If you are already on an advanced level this one will be no such useful instead.

Good For The Road!!!!!!

I have purchased and review several of these "Basic Series" books and I have been pleased with all of them. Paul White authored the majority of them and did a fine job. You can buy them individually or they come in a set of four. This book is great for its intended purpose, a handbook to carry around with you to live gigs. This book is small (6 inches x 4 inches) and relatively inexpensive. Therfore you can throw this book in your gig back and not be worried about it to much. Now this book is not going to be the most comprehensive on the subject, but it is good for answering the quick question before a live gig. What I like most about this book is that it has an appendix at the end that show you every possible type of cable connection and the proper name for it. It also has a fairly in-depth glossary.
