Way Ahead of Its Time

Before the proliferation of Top 100 lists came Maury Allen's Baseball's 100. Certain to generate debate, this list eschews the usual statistical approach and takes into account all aspects of the players listed. Of course Babe Ruth was one of the great players of the game, but could he hustle like Willie Mays or steal bases like Hank Aaron, who were awesome hitters in their own right? The point is, it's fun to discuss who is better than whom, and the only problem is that it is time for a new edition.
