Buy it, your children will enjoy it. If you can make the animal sounds realistically, they will enjoy it even more, but even without it, the book is enjoyable. The pictures are also nice.

This sturdy little board book has been handed down through three families and 6 children and still looks good. In it there are the usual farm animals (cat, dog, duck, cow, rooster, hen and chicks, goat, pig, horse, sheep) plus an owl (and a frog and bee if you look closely). The drawings are colorful and smaller pages are easy for little folk to turn. Definitely a good educational purchase.

This is a small board book that is filled with pictures of farm animals. It teaches the child the sounds that the animals make and also teaches them something about each animal as Barney visits each one. For example, for the cow, it teaches children that milk comes from cows and that the sound they make is "Moo, Moo". I love this book and my 9 month old loves it as well! It is great especially if you make the animal noises realistic!
