Barney Says "Night Night" [With Night Light]

This is my child's first Barney book, although she has enjoyed the show. I chose this book because she loves to look up into the night sky and say, "MOON!". She started saying "night, night" the second night we read this book. At twenty months the narrative is a bit abstract, but uplifting and she will listen to it. Of course at her age she enjoys naming the pictures and pushing the button to make the moon light up. This even helps with fine motor skills - the button is small and requires steady pressure to keep the light on. The moon is neat because when it is not lit, the face has a closed mouth smile, and when it is on, the moon has an open mouth smile. She noticed the difference right away. This is a terrific book to read right before bed. It mentions some of procedures of getting ready for bed and shows hugs and sleeping children.
