Barbie: Rapunzel (Barbie)

My 5 year old granddaughter is addicted to Barbie stuff, loved the movie Rapunzel so we got her this book as well to sharpen her reading skills and help her develop a love of books that horefully will help her later in life. She loves the book also. My only complaint is that this book is a very abbreviated short version of the movie and I wish they would have added 5 to 15 more pages so there would be more to read

We just received this book - I am so happy with it! Mostly because, it is the ORIGINAL STORY of Rapunzel! The other Barbie Rapunzel book is based on the Barbie movie, which is NOT like the original story - (in that version, she has a magic paintbrush, a dragon friend, and the Prince only climbs her hair one time and it's in a dream!) I also like this book because the pictures are actual Barbie dolls posed in scenes - my little girl (4 years old) loves looking at them, much more than the illustrated Barbie books. However, one thing to be aware of is that the stepmother/sorceress DOES blind the Prince - that may take a little explaining but the very next page he's back to normal. Also, this book is nice and sturdy - I'm very happy with it!
