Barbie: A Dancer's Dream

IN A NUTSHELL: Its quite an adorable book for little girls. December 4, 2003This dance book is about ballet. Barbie makes the cut and becomes a ballet teacher. She takes her younger sister Skipper to her class. The story evolves to where one of the dancers becomes fearful and Barbie sweetly helps her thru it. This dancer becomes the star.Each page has a metallic shimmer somewhere on the page usually in bright pink. Each page highlights something new and different with shimmer. The ballet scenes come alive with the pink shimmer. The two young girl readers in our home found this book to be mesmerizing and loved the ballet story line.(...) Altho it is a very short book (about 12 pages thus 4 stars not 5) I am very happy with this book because I find my girls going back to this book again and again drawn to the shimmer and the dancer story line.
