The second of a pair of mostly Sword and Sorcery anthologies with the odd assorted other piece like 'L. Sprague De Camp's' The Warrior Race. Adams talks about the origin of the word barbarian in the introduction (used by Greeks to denote not-Greeks, basically, and then by the Romans) and mentions this is supposed to be a book of heroic fantasy, not realistic. It is a reasonable selection - Paxson's tale is a nice find. At 3.39 a little wobbly around the middle though. Leiber, Howard and Wagner here as well, though, so for Sword and Sorcery fans worth a go if you find it cheap.
