The first of many problems arise when she finds she must work on a task team headed up by her ex-husband, Detective Luke Sutherland. Can they work together?? Can they get past the emotions that cloud their perspective of the job and tore them apart?? It is a race against time, because now that Rachel is back, the arsonist is determined to finish off the job of killing her. Right from the start you find that Luke and Rachel are such a believable couple that has to get past their own emotions to save other women and children from the devastating thing that has happened to them and the body count is rising. This is a powerful book, with twists and turns that keep you wanting to read more. The ending is a total surprise and not one you saw coming. If you like a romance, suspense story that keeps you on the edge of your chair then you will not go wrong with this book.
